hb's story

First, many people ask me, "What does HBDesigns stand for?" Heather Brooke is my given name and HB is the childhood nickname given to me by my late sister Dana. It caught on and still to this day people call me HB. H-B-D were my 'single lady' initials, so I put them all together and got HBDesigns.

I have been designing, creating and entertaining since I was a little girl in Vail, Colorado. (Yes, yes, I did in fact spend my entire first 18 years there!) I am a sucker for a creative craft. My love of paper, fabric and glue blossomed and I started making things for friends and family while attending college at Southern Methodist University. One thing led to another and soon I had a small business on my hands. We now have wonderful customers all over the world.

In November of 2010, my dear childhood friend, Randi Jaerbyn joined the company as a partner.  In May 2011, we launched our wholesale line to rave reviews at the National Stationery Show.

Fabrinery and Fabritations are our love here in the studio. The mix of stationery and fashion and how it is constantly evolving and changing is so exciting to us. Everything we create at HBDesigns is made with loving hands and we take pride in working one-on-one with our cutsomers and retailers. No order is too small or too large.

A bit about Heather:

I have lived in Vail, Dallas and Los Angeles. After nine years in LA, I am back in the big state of Texas. I am happily married to a wonderful man who keeps me and my creative mind in check (if he wasn't involved, I'd never make a dime!). We have one adorable daughter (who is quite a fan of paper, fabric and glue too!) and two spunky dachshunds (who love to get into trouble!). I love to laugh and entertain.  When I am not in the studio, I am in the kitchen where I love to cook old Italian family recipes.  I spend every Sunday morning baking up a storm!

A bit about Randi
